Dear Seeds Team,

At the very outset, I would like to send you warm greetings from our family and heartfelt appreciation to the teachers for their priceless efforts, and guidance to our kids.

The corona virus outbreak has caused your educators to become creative like never before to ensure children can still succeed in their remote and online classrooms.

In a regular year, we as parents appreciate our children’s teachers. We know they love our kids and strive to make them better little humans every day. But this year is a bit different.

One of the biggest challenges for parents under this lockdown is to keep our kids engaged and feeling upbeat. We are all in an unfamiliar situation and have no clue of how to deal with it.

We have seen an increase in behavioral issues, whether it’s anxiety, anger, or some sort of protest that they can’t do things normally like going out and playing with friends.. There are meltdowns, tantrums and even shouting back… But I understood, all these are just the reflections of our emotions as even this lock down is new for us.

And It really exponentially difficult for some parents who are both working from home, who can’t attend and care of the kids amidst their hectic works and being beside.. They may not get time to home school them or complete their kids tasks on time.. I request the school on behalf of every parent to understand them not being participating in the schedules.

After being at home with our kids and attempting to home school them over the last six weeks, many of us have a new outlook on teachers. They’re heroes. Straight up heroes.

Your talented and ever-willing-to-work staff, both teaching and non-teaching, have been showing their care and concern for the students, working from home preparing worksheets, stories and engaging classes online for the benefit of students.

I appreciate their concern for the students and commitment to academics. I would like to acknowledge their commitment and care for the school. I am also equally worried about you guys handling all these nutcut little monkeys together after this lock down period which would be the toughest challenge…. (Parents feel relieved here of course :))

We hope our kids are going to enjoy more in the caring hands of teachers once the lock down is over playing and learning new things, enjoying the company of their friends and doing lots and loads of fun filled learning activities….

I am attaching the Google doodle which paid tribute to the teachers, which calls them “constants in ever-changing World”. The animated logo shows the letter ‘e’ dressed up as a quirky professor with round glasses and a hat, teaching in front of a laptop giving online classes.
